Outreach
The outreach ministries of the church shall give attention to local and larger community ministries of compassion, justice, and advocacy. These ministries include church and society, global ministries, higher education and campus ministry, health and welfare, Christian unity and interreligious concerns, religion and race, and the status and role of women. -- Book of Discipline ¶ 252

Missions
We have traveled near and far to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. We've gone as far as Costa Rica, Uganda, Russia and Haiti, along with Kentucky and Mississippi. And we've stayed close to home with the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, Camden Neighborhood Center and Caring for Kids in Cape May Court House.
Hurricane Sandy devastated a great deal of our Jersey Shore. We have been hosting Recovery Teams who have come in from all over the country to help with hurricane recovery work - from California, and New Mexico to Michigan and Pennsylvania - these teams have been the hands and feet of Jesus right here in our own back yard!
A Future With Hope
As a result of Hurricane Sandy, mission teams have been traveling to New Jersey from around the country - as close as Pennsylvania and as far as California. They are trained in early response to natural disasters. Our mission, as a church, is to house these teams and treat them like the VIPs that they are. We have a welcoming committee that meets the teams upon arrival with coffee/tea and light refreshments. We can house around 30 people per team (give or take a few) and have had teams stay anywhere from three days to two weeks.
